Over the past few months, Smart Aid Initiative has been committed to tackling FGM through **chool outreach, advocacy, community, and media engagement. By partnering with community-based organizations and policymakers we are raising awareness and driving action to end this practice—ensuring that future generations of girls grow up safe, healthy, and empowered.
Our Impact So Far
- 🎓 Trained 23 community-based organizations on the dangers of FGM and strategies to combat it.
- 🏫 Conducted sensitization programs in secondary schools across Kaduna State, Nigeria, educating 600 young girls and boys about the risks and consequences of FGM.
- 📢 Engaged 4 local communities through advocacy and media campaigns, fostering dialogue and shifting mindsets on harmful traditional practices.
