The International Day of Education celebration

The International Day of Education celebration organized by Smart Aid Initiative on 22nd January 2025 at Government Girls Secondary School Kawo, Kaduna, brought together 147 participants, 100 students and 47 teachers for an impactful learning experience focused on artificial intelligence in education. Through awareness talks and hands-on practical sessions, participants learned safe and ethical AI practices, how AI works, and how tools like ChatGPT can support learning, curriculum planning, and classroom delivery. Facilitators guided teachers on using AI to improve lesson preparation and efficiency, while students were introduced to using technology responsibly for learning and creativity. The event strengthened digital awareness in the school community, improved teaching efficiency, and equipped both students and teachers with practical skills to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
