Digital Skills, Civic Voice and Active Citizenship for Nigeria's Gen Z

The NextGen Civic Action Lab is a youth-led initiative designed to strengthen active citizenship, digital democracy, and civic participation among Nigeria's Gen Z population. The project equips young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to engage constructively in public life, influence decision-making processes, and contribute to a more accountable and inclusive democratic society.

Nigeria’s Gen Z is increasingly using digital platforms to express ideas, create movements, question public issues and influence conversations. However, many still face misinformation and disinformation, online harassment, digital exclusion, distrust in institutions and limited pathways for translating digital engagement into constructive civic action.

Our Mission

To empower Nigeria's Gen Z with the digital skills, civic knowledge, and leadership capacity required to participate actively in democratic processes, strengthen accountability, and drive positive social change within their communities.
