Digital Skills, Civic Voice and Active Citizenship for Nigeria's Gen Z

The NextGen Civic Action Lab is a youth-led initiative designed to strengthen active citizenship, digital democracy, and civic participation among Nigeria's Gen Z population. The project equips young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to engage constructively in public life, influence decision-making processes, and contribute to a more accountable and inclusive democratic society. Recognising that young Nigerians are increasingly shaping conversations through digital platforms, the Lab helps transform online engagement into meaningful civic action by addressing challenges such as misinformation, digital exclusion, online harassment, and limited access to civic participation opportunities.

To empower Nigeria's Gen Z with the digital skills, civic knowledge, and leadership capacity required to participate actively in democratic processes, strengthen accountability, and drive positive social change within their communities.
