Tommorrow Starts with Us

The EQUAL-TES (Tech, Ethic and Solutions) Project was created to ensure that technology, especially Artificial Intelligence, is used ethically, responsibly, and inclusively across our communities. As digital tools continue to shape education and future careers, it is essential that both students and educators are empowered with the knowledge and skills to use them wisely. This vision was put into action through Tomorrow Starts With Us, a partnership initiative delivered in collaboration with the Global Shapers Community Kaduna Hub at Government Girls Secondary School, Barnawa, Kaduna in Kaduna, Nigeria, and led by Aliyu Ahmed Bello. Empowering Students and Teachers/n The project brought students and teachers together for a day of learning, dialogue, and practical training focused on ethical AI use and digital readiness. Key outcomes included: 100 students empowered with knowledge on ethical AI use, online safety, and future career opportunities. 23 teachers trained on practical AI tools to improve lesson planning and teaching delivery. Two WiFi devices provided to support ongoing digital learning within the school. These efforts helped strengthen the school’s capacity to participate confidently in a technology-driven world. Advancing the EQUAL-TES Mission Tomorrow Starts With Us reflects the core mission of EQUAL-TES: building inclusive communities where people can use technology responsibly and for the common good. By empowering both educators and students, the project helped bridge knowledge gaps, promote ethical digital practices, and support future-ready learning environments. Our Commitment to Partnerships and Growth Partnership is central to achieving the EQUAL-TES vision. Collaborations like this enable us to reach more communities, provide essential resources, and create sustainable impact. We remain committed to working with schools, youth networks, and community partners to expand access to ethical technology education and ensure that no one is left behind.
